CINDI® Basic is the latest addition to our family of incinerating toilets and is a easy to use, one button to push toilet focused on taking care of the humanure.

CINDI® Basic informs you of what state it’s in or if it requires any special attention via a button and a series of light signals. Additional information can be found in the manual.

CINDI® Basic is optimized for your cottage and/or Tiny house but can also be installed in your home or in a quest house. It has the capability of handling the humanure from up to 6 persons on a regular basis. The toilet is used whenever it’s needed, even if someone has just visited it. The toilet keeps track on the number of visits and adapts the incineration time to ensure that the waste product is always ash. It is therefore important to start the incineration program after each visit.

Safety

CINDI Basic is a safe toilet. It has a wide Array of built in safety systems that closely monitors the temperature in the oven, inside the toilet and the ventilation temperature. It is also fitted with at “stand alone” over heat protection that works outside the regular firmware. If the temperature in any location gets higher the normal the incinerating process automaticly shuts down and the display informs you of this.

How it works

Before your visit place a bag in the bowl, the bag protects the bowl from the feces and limits the need for cleaning. Place the bag by lifting the lid and seats, then place the bag. When the bag is places – the toilet is ready to be used. When the visit is completed, use the flush lever to open the hatch to the incineration chamber. When the flush lever is pressed down and the bag of waste falls down to the incineration chamber, release the flush lever and start the incinerating process by pushing the button. Even if the toilet already is in an ongoing incineration process, it is extremely important to both flush and to start the program by pushing the button. Always start an incineration process after your visit.

When no programme is running, and the toilet is in standby mode, the fan constantly operates at low speed. The purpose of this is to let moisture ventilate out of the toilet and to prevent cold air from getting in to the toilet through the pipe.

When an incineration programme is running, the fan draws air through the incineration chamber to constantly add oxygen to the incineration process. This also enables hot air and smoke to flow through the pipe and out of the chamber

IMPORTANT! As long as the toilet is attached to the ventilation pipe, the power should be turned on. When the fan spins, it prevents moist air from entering the toilet. If the power is turned off, the toilet should be disconnected from the pipe and the pipe plugged to prevent moist air from entering.

Maintenance

In addition to normal cleaning with a damp cloth the display notifies when it is time to clean the ash pan, cleaning operation also means that the catalyst and the furnace cleaned by water vapor formed. This is done by the ash is emptied, 1 liter of water is poured into the potty and starting a program. It also tells when the smoke pipe needs to be swept, this is done by using a steel brush that comes with the toilet, and a vacuum cleaner. For ease of service and cleaning it is not recommended that the toilet is fixed to the wall or the floor. See the “Installation” for more information.

Long time storage

If you going away for a long time, it is important that the toilet is reviewed. The fan spins continuously to prevent moist air from getting into the toilet. If the power is turned off the toilet should be pulled out from the pipe and the pipe plugged to prevent moist air from getting in to the room.

Service

For your incinerating toilet to function optimally, it needs regular maintenance. If the toilet is used in a permanent home it is recommended to servicing the toilet once every year and for holiday homes every two years. The service is carried out by a Separett authorized service partner. During the service the toilet is inspected and cleaned thoroughly. Wear parts are replaced as needed and your toilet will be as good as new. To service the product regularly you ensure that you have a well-functioning product for many years to come.
